Cookie policy
petala.net keeps cookies to a minimum: one necessary cookie and, only if you agree, Google Analytics cookies that show us how visitors use the site. No advertising, no tracking across sites.
What this means for you
The necessary cookie only remembers your choice in the cookie notice. Analytics cookies are set only after you click “Accept”; until then, and if you click “Decline”, nothing is sent to Google. We do not use cookies to follow you across sites or to build a profile of you.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember something between visits — for example, that you have already closed a notice.
2. Cookies we use on petala.net
petala_consent — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the notice does not appear on every page. Strictly necessary. Kept for 6 months. Contains no personal data.
oxchat:petala-eu (local storage, not a cookie) — a random chat ID that keeps your conversation with us when you move between pages, plus two small notes next to it: which of our replies you have already seen and whether you left your email. Created only when you send your first chat message. Strictly necessary for the chat. Stays until you clear your browser data.
_ga and _ga_3839YY5T1S — Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. They count visits and show which pages are viewed, how far they are scrolled and which links are clicked, so we can see what works on the site. Set only with your consent. Kept for up to 2 years.
We do not use advertising or social media cookies on petala.net.
3. The demo sites
The demo store (demo.petala.net) and the demo CRM (crm.petala.net) remember what you do in the demo so it works like a real store: your cart and favourites, the demo sign-in and your messages in the demo chat. They use cookies and your browser’s local storage for this, only for the demo itself; the demo chat history is deleted after 7 days.
4. How to manage cookies
To change your choice at any time, reset your cookie settings — the analytics cookies will be deleted and the notice will appear again. You can also view and delete cookies in your browser settings, or block them altogether; the site will still work.
5. Changes to this policy
If we ever add other cookies, we will update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting them. Last updated: 22 October 2026.
